Step 1: Download the Consent Form

- This mandatory document ensures your film's originality and grants necessary permissions
Step 2: Verify Your Eligibility
Before proceeding, ensure you meet these requirements:
- ✓ You are a bonafide student
- ✓ Your film was completed after January 1, 2025
- ✓ Film duration is under 20 minutes (including credits)
- ✓ Your film has English subtitles (mandatory for all languages)
- ✓ Film format is high-quality (1080p, 2K, or 4K)
Step 3: Prepare Your Film Submission
Ensure your film file meets these technical requirements:
- Format: High-quality (1080p, 2K, or 4K)
- Duration: Under 20 minutes (no minimum)
- Language: Any language with English subtitles
- File format: Readable digital format compatible with standard screening systems
- Delivery: Cloud link with view and download access
Note: Label your file clearly with film title, duration, and contact information.
Step 4: Gather Required Materials
Prepare these items for each film submission:
- Completed consent form (signed)
- Film file (via cloud link)
- Film synopsis
- Still photographs
- Brochure
- Posters
- Press material
Note: For multiple film entries, each film requires a separate set of all materials and registration.
Step 5: Complete Online Registration
- Go to https://www.nsff.in/event/nsff2026-1/register
- Click the "Register" button
- Registration must be done online only
- Pay the registration fee of ₹999.00
- Complete the registration form with accurate information
Step 6: Submit Your Film (Online Only)
Online Submission Process:
- Share your film via cloud link (Google Drive, Dropbox, WeTransfer, etc.)
- Ensure the link provides view and download access
- Send the link to: nsffmumbai@gmail.com
- Include all required materials (synopsis, stills, brochure, posters, press material)
Important:
- Registration and submission must be done online only
- Films submitted for selection will be treated as final versions
- No modifications accepted post-submission
Step 7: Obtain Censor Certification (If Selected)
If your film is selected for screening:
- Obtain Censor Board certification or exemption
- The Festival Authority will facilitate necessary permissions
- Ensure compliance with Indian Penal Code and media regulations

- Discriminatory content
- Content that violates Indian law
- Song lyrics, poems without permission
What Happens After Registration
Selection Process:
- Films are judged by industry professionals
- Evaluation criteria: Content originality, production quality, post-production, image quality, and sound design
- Committee decision is final and binding
- Finalists will be notified via mail/email
If Selected:
- Your film may be screened up to 5 times across India (non-commercial)
- Short excerpts may be used for festival promotion
- Once selected, your film cannot be withdrawn until the festival concludes

Travel & Accommodation
- Participants bear their own travel and accommodation expenses
- Festival provides food during the event
- Volunteers will assist with nearby accommodation options
Copyright & Rights
- You retain full ownership of your film
- NSFF reserves rights for festival promotion and archival
- Cannot use festival name/logo without written permission
